Our Services
Exercise Physiology
Exercise physiologists are healthcare practitioners who possess the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to develop, implement, and assess safe and efficient exercise interventions for individuals with acute, sub-acute, or chronic medical conditions, disabilities, or injuries.
Exercise physiologists offer a range of services which include behavioural coaching, health education, exercise counselling and physical rehabilitation. Services include the prescription of tailored exercise programs, promoting leisure-time and incidental activity, and counselling to reduce sedentary behaviours. This will include an assessment to ensure the activity is safe, effective and likely to be maintained in the long term.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy is a form of therapy that involves the use of water to help treat various medical conditions or injuries. The therapy is typically carried out in a pool where the water temperature and pressure can be controlled.
The buoyancy and resistance of the water can help to reduce stress on the body, increase range of motion, and improve muscle strength and flexibility. Hydrotherapy can also help to improve circulation, reduce swelling, and promote relaxation. The therapy may involve exercises, stretching, massage, or other techniques to help achieve the desired therapeutic effects.
Hydrotherapy can be used to treat a range of conditions, such as arthritis, muscle and joint pain, post-operative rehabilitation, and chronic pain.
Remedial Massage
Remedial massage is a type of therapeutic massage that aims to improve a person's physical well-being and address musculoskeletal issues, such as pain, discomfort, and limited mobility.
It involves the assessment and treatment of the soft tissues of the body, including muscles, tendons, ligaments, and fascia, using various massage techniques, such as deep tissue massage, trigger point therapy, and myofascial release. Remedial massage can be used to treat various conditions, or it can also be used as a preventative measure to maintain optimal physical function and prevent injuries.
Remedial massage therapists are trained to work with people of all ages and backgrounds and can customise their treatments to meet the individual needs of each client.
